Rowe. Dr. Rowe is currently President of FX Palo Alto Laboratory and an Emeritus Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. |

ACM TOMCCAP is looking for a new Editor-in-ChiefThe ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications is the flagship publication of ACM's Special Interest Group on Multimedia (SIGMM). We are looking for a new Editor-in-Chief whose term will begin in January 2010, and who will be appointed for three years, with the possibility of one three-year renewal. SIGMM Annual Report 2009The SIGMM Annual Report was submitted by to ACM on August 1, 2009. It reports the activities of SIG Multimedia during the previous year, including summary reports from or flagship conferences and workshops, an overview of all events that are sponsored or supported by SIGMM. You can find out about SIGMM's leadership, the last SIGMM Retreat, SIGMM's Awards and its online and offline publications. |

TOMCCAP at the End of The Early YearsThe ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications is a peer-reviewed, archival journal that started in 2005. In its debut ranking in ISI's Journal Citation Report published in June 2009, TOMCCAP has scored an impact factor of 2.465, making it the highest ranked "multimedia" journal. You can find more about its impact factor compared to other multimedia journals, as well as the most downloaded TOMCCAP papers. Report from NOSSDAV 2009The 19th International Workshop on Network and Operating Systems Support for Digital Audio and Video (NOSSDAV 2009) was held in Williamsburg, Virginia from 3 - 5 June, 2009. It is a venue for the presentation of timely research results and lively, constructive discussions on potentially controversial concepts and solutions. Chairs Wei Tsang Ooi and Dongyan Xu have prepared a report for the readers of SIGMM Records. |
