  • ACM International Conference on Multimedia Retrieval (ICMR)
Set up to illuminate the state-of-the-art in image and video retrieval, ICMR aims at becoming the world reference event in this exciting field of research, where researchers and practitioners can exchange knowledge and ideas. ICMR puts together the long-lasting experience of former ACM CIVR and ACM MIR.
  • ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia and Security (IH&MMSec)
The workshop focuses on information hiding topics, such as watermarking, steganography, steganalysis, anonymity, privacy, hard-to-intercept communications, and covert/subliminal channels. It also focuses on a variety of multimedia security topics including multimedia identification, biometrics, video surveillance, multimedia forensics, and computer and network security.
  • ACM Workshop on Multimedia and Security (MM&Sec)
Since its inception in 1998, The ACM Multimedia and Security Workshop has become a prominent forum for cutting-edge research in areas such as steganography, watermarking and DRM, multimedia forensics, biometrics, and other topics in the overlap of information security and multimedia signal processing. Note: As of 2013, MM&Sec has merged with the Information Hiding Conference (IH) under the ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia Security (IH&MMSec).
  • ACM Conference on Image and Video Retrieval (CIVR)
The International Conference on Image and Video Retrieval (CIVR) series of conferences was originally set up to illuminate the state of the art in image and video retrieval between researchers and practitioners throughout the world. This conference aims to provide an international forum for the discussion of challenges in the fields of image and video retrieval. Note: As of 2011, CIVR and MIR have been merged under the International Conference on Multimedia Retrieval (ICMR).
  • ACM Multimedia Information Retrieval (MIR)
The ACM International Conference on Multimedia Information Retrieval (MIR) is the premier scientific meeting for discussing the latest advances in the area of multimedia retrieval. 2012 Call for Proposals: ACM History Fellowship

To encourage historical research, the ACM History Committee plans to make two types of awards. Travel grants of $2,500 support smaller projects, while a fellowship grant of $5,000 may support a larger or more demanding project. Projects should focus on ACM activities, including those of members, officers, and prize winners, or ACM's rich institutional history, including consideration of its organization, publications, SIG activities, and conferences. Successful candidates may be of any rank, from graduate students through senior researchers. More details can be found here.
