Electronic registration is now available. Please review the registration information below before proceeding.

Note: The online reigstration is closed. If you would like register for ACM MM09, you can register on site. On-site registration has been available at 2:00 pm on Oct. 18, and will end on Oct. 23.

Note 1: Due to technical reasons, the advance registration deadline for MM09 has been extended. August 21, 2009 is the deadline for the advance registration.

Note 2: The Regonline system (the ACM contracted registration provider) no longer supports IE6.0 and suggests to use the supported web browser Firefox 3 to perform the registration for MM09. Specifically, the MM09 OC tested the registration using the Firefox 3 and it worked well. So, it is suggested to download and installl Firefox 3 and to use it for registration.

Important Dates

• August 21, 2009 is the deadline for "Advance" registration. After this date, the "Late/On-Site" fees apply.
• August 22, 2009 is the deadline for cancellation/refund request.
• October 6, 2009 is the deadline for on-line registration and payments. On-site registration will be available at the conference venue.

Important Information for Authors

Each main conference accepted paper must have at least one author registered by the advance registration deadline as a non-student, for the paper to be included in the final conference program and the proceedings. (ONE main conference registration can cover at most ONE main conference FULL PAPER or TWO main conference NON-FULL PAPERS.)

For workshop accepted papers, the same registration policy applies with respect to workshop registration. Each workshop accepted paper must have at least one author registered by the advance registration deadline as a non-student. (ONE workshop registration can cover at most TWO workshop papers.)

Remember that student registrants need to show proof of student status (e.g., Student ID or a letter from advisor or a letter from the department) when picking up the conference package.

Registration Fees(RMB or USD)

Advance registrations are encouraged. On-site registration will be available at the conference site.

There are several registration options, everything from a single half-day tutorial to an "all-inclusive" package deal. Note that:

• August 21, 2009 is the deadline for "Advance" registration. After this date, the "Late/On-Site" fees apply.
• The listed fees (RMB) are applicable if you register.

• The listed fees (USD) are applicable if you register.

Visa Letters:

For visa letter, the office will be out of work on National Day Holiday, from Oct. 1 to Oct. 8, 8 days altogether. So we could do nothing with visa request during this legal holiday.

However we will consult all visa request from Oct. 9 to Oct.12.

International registrants should be particularly aware and careful about visa requirements, and should plan travel well in advance.

All visa support inquiries must be handled by PKU, China. You must supply your name and mailing address as it appears on your passport, the name of the conference you are attending and your registration confirmation number. If you are the author of any papers accepted for the conference, please provide the title. We will also need a fax number in order to fax the support letter.

Notes

• All conference fees are in RMB or USD.
• Main conference registration includes:
  • Attendance to the following sessions: keynote addresses, full papers, short paper presentation, technical demos, panels, video program, open-source software competition, brave new topics, interactive art program, multimedia grand challenge, doctoral symposium, and exhibition.
  • Main conference proceedings (on DVD)
  • Attendance to social programs: receptions, conference banquet, coffee breaks and lunches (Note: student registration does not include the conference banquet.)
• Extra purchases
  • Extra banquet tickets (evening) may be purchased for ¥500 each.
  • Extra reception tickets (evening) may be purchased for ¥180.
  • Extra lunch tickets may be purchased for ¥240 each.
  • Extra DVD proceedings (while available) may be purchased for ¥220.
• Payment
  • The registration fees charged will be based on attendee status (non-member, member, student) information, and on the date the registration is completed.
  • Bank Transfer: Transfer the registration fee via bank account. Then email the bank transfer charge to tjhuang@pku.edu.cn (Finance Chair).
  • Credit Card: We accept payment through Credit Card. You can pay the registration fee through credit cards on-line.
• Registration Refund Policy
  • Full refunds (minus a $100 or ¥680 handling fee) may be granted before August 22, 2009. After August 22, 2009, no refunds will be made. Refund requests must be made in writing (by mail or fax) to the registration co-chairs, Xiaowu Chen.
