ACM MM2009 Panels Call for Proposals
Scope
ACM MM 2009 panels should be on the topics of current and increasing interest. The topic may be a controversial topic or a topic that has not yet received much attention, but is rapidly gaining importance. Recently, significant changes in multimedia research and development landscape have taken place in order to deal with large scale data centers, user generated media data, and media rich mobile devices.
It is expected that expert panelists will express their views on the topic of panel and discuss with other panelists and the audience their views and experiences. The panels at ACM MM 2009 are not an avenue for panelists to present their own personal research or a narrow scope research project.
We welcome panel organizers from both academia and industry. We especially welcome new application perspectives from multimedia related industrial corporations.
Call for Panel Proposals
Proposals are solicited for panels that can be scheduled for 90 minutes in duration. At least 30 minutes should be spent in interaction with the audience. Submissions should be made to the Panel Chairs and should include a cover sheet and an extended summary. The complete proposal should be limited to 6 pages and should include:
- Panel topic and justification for such panel;
- Complete contact information for the panel organizers;
- Potential panelists and their expertise;
- A brief biography for each organizer and panelist.
