The ACM Multimedia Steering Committee invites prospective parties to submit proposals to host and organize the ACM Multimedia conference (ACM MM) in 2026.
 
ACM Multimedia is the flagship conference supported by ACM SIGMM, the ACM Special Interest Group on Multimedia. Since the founding of ACM SIGMM in 1993, ACM Multimedia has been the worldwide premier conference and a key world event to display scientific achievements and innovative industrial products in the multimedia field. The conference hosts technical sessions covering all aspects of multimedia, as well as industry-oriented sessions such as the multimedia grand challenge or the industrial track, which recognize those research works with significant industrial values. The winner of the SIGMM Rising Star for 2022 is Jianlong Fu for his significant contributions in Multimedia Search and Mining.

Dr Jianlong Fu is currently a Senior Research Manager with the Multimedia Search and Mining Group, Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA). He is now leading Multimedia Search and Mining Group, focusing on computer vision, image graphics, vision and language, especially on fine-grained image/video recognition and detection, multimedia content editing, personal media experience of browsing, searching, sharing and storytelling. He has shipped core technologies to several Microsoft products, including Windows, Office, Bing Multimedia Search, Azure Media Service, XiaoIce, etc.

Recognizes the authors of a paper published either 10, 11 or 12 years previously at an SIGMM sponsored or co-sponsored conference which has had the most impact and influence on the field of Multimedia in terms of research, development, product or ideas. The award includes an honorarium of $1,000 and a certificate.

The ICMR Steering Committee invites interested parties to submit proposals to host and organize the 14th International Conference on Multimedia Retrieval, ICMR2024 (sponsored by the ACM SIGMM).

ACM ICMR is the premier scientific conference for multimedia retrieval.  Its mission is to provide a forum to discuss,  promote and advance the state-of-the-arts in multimedia retrieval by bringing together researchers and practitioners in its related field. It is thus essential to ensure that the conference includes sessions for presenting high-quality research papers and for sharing practitioner experience.
