CIVR aims to provide an international forum for the discussion of
research challenges and the exchange of ideas among researchers and
practitioners in image/video retrieval technologies. It addresses
innovative research in the broad field of image and video retrieval. A
unique feature of the conference is the high level of participation from

Singapore, popularly known as "The Garden City", is situated at the southern tip of the
Malaysian Peninsula in South-East Asia. With a rich and interesting history tracking
back from 1819, Singapore is a small but prosperous cosmopolitan nation diversified
with 4 main ethnic groups, namely, Chinese, Malays, Indians and Eurasians. With museums
exhibiting rich collection of historical information and relics as contrasted to the fun
theme parks, holidaying spots as well as bustling shopping and dining heavens,
Singapore is an excellent utopia to unwind from the daunting stress of today's society.
Cosmopolitan Singapore
National University of Singapore (NUS) is situated in the western side of the nation
and is easily accessible via the common modes of public transportations namely, the
Singapore Bus Service (SBS) and the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train service. Ranked
alongside top Universities in the world, NUS is not just Singapore's pride but also
an epitome in the high standards of education that is advocated in the nation.
