ACM Multimedia 2010 is the worldwide premier multimedia conference and a key event to display scientific achievements and innovative industrial products. The Conference offers to scientists and practitioners in the area of Multimedia plenary scientific and technical sessions, tutorials, panels and discussion meetings on relevant and challenging questions for the next years horizon of multimedia. The Interactive Art program ACM Multimedia 2010 will provide the opportunity of interaction between artists and computer scientists and investigation on the application of multimedia technologies to art and cultural heritage.

Nicola Torpei is appointed Art Exhibit Technology Chair

In order to provide the adequate technical support to Art Exhibition of ACM Multimedia 2010 Nicola Torpei has been appointed Art Exhibit Technology Chair. He will be in charge of the arrangement of all the technical facilities for the Art Exhibition at Palazzo Medici Riccardi.

Information for authors In order to maintain thorough review and provide detailed feedback to prospective authors, ACMMM 2010 will implement a new step of pre-filtering. Upon submission, each paper will be pre-filtered by track chairs together with TPC meta members. Only papers of matched topics, formats, clear presentation, and sufficient technical details will be passed to the subsequent review stage. Such pre-filtering step will be completed in 1-2 weeks.

ACM MM 2010 Full Paper Program Chair Jiebo Luo was elevated a few days ago to a Fellow of IAPR.
The prestigious IAPR Fellow Award was introduced in 1994 and since then is biennially conferred on persons to acknowledge their distinguished contributions to the field of pattern recognition and to IAPR activities.
